Our new shirts were sold at the meeting and worn for the first time at the Rascals ball game (6/7/08).  It was very impressive to see a "sea of green" from a distance! Every one who attended the game was wearing a shirt. And I know I am not alone when I say that it was a neat feeling to be part of a recognizable group at a large event - especially an event that was not car related!  While walking around the stadium more than one person stopped one of us to say they enjoyed seeing the cars and how they could tell we were part of the car group!

The cars were on display in the grass by the main gate before the game, then drove around the infield while practice was going on. We got our club name in lights on the board and mentioned several times by the announcer. We certainly had our presence known that night!

By the way - the Rascals won 8-7 ! The tie was broken at the very bottom of the ninth when the runner on third made it home while the batter was tagged out !

 OUR WEBSITE IS WORKING ! This past week we have had two invitations for outside events.

The first is a small parade for St. Joseph School on Thursday May 22.  To celebrate the school's 75th anniversary they were hoping to have at least one car from each decade... more details to follow.

The second is for a movie opening, the movie Speed Racer is opening at the O' Fallon Great Escape Cinema on the weekend of May 10. They are wanting some cars on display in the lot. I believe they will give us free movie passes for displaying. Again more details to follow as the manager works out the details.
